Operation Smile, a global medical charity that provides free surgeries to children born with cleft lips and cleft palates, is revolutionizing how it teaches young people to understand the importance of giving back. The organization recently unveiled its new interactive learning center, which provides an immersive experience that educates visitors on the impact of Operation Smile’s work and the importance of volunteering in their own communities.
The learning center features a number of interactive activities for visitors to take part in. Guests can watch a short film about Operation Smile’s work, explore a virtual patient’s journey from diagnosis to surgery, and learn about the organization’s mission and its impact on the lives of children and families around the world. Visitors can also participate in activities such as role-playing a patient interview and designing a virtual hospital room.
The learning center is designed to inspire young people to become active participants in their own communities, and to understand the importance of volunteering and giving back. Through the interactive activities, visitors can gain an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with cleft lip and cleft palate, and the impact that Operation Smile has had on their lives.
