Papa John cycles 100 miles for Health & Wellness Charities
This past weekend, Papa John himself participated in a 100 mile bicycle trip in support of health and wellness charities in the state of Florida. Dr. Paul Drago, fellow supporter of charities that directly empower local communities, tells the story:
In Florida, health and wellness charities are getting creative with their COVID-19 recovery events! On August 15, 2020, a roundtrip bicycle ride from Naples to Captiva Island, Florida (and back again!) had a special guest participant: Papa John’s Pizza founder, John Schnatter! In all, Schnatter rode 100 miles and pledged $1,000 per mile for a total donation of $100,000.
Health and wellness charities who will benefit from the event include the Community Foundation of Collier County, Benison Center, Pan Florida Challenge and the American Heart Association. As always, Dr. Paul Drago salutes all executives and business owners (from small businesses to large corporations) who give back to their communities!
